2026 Atlanta Chapter 5, NMPMA, Project

Project Mission Statement

Our mission is to honor the legacy of the Montford Point Marines by delivering authentic, compelling storytelling that preserves their history, celebrates their courage, and inspires future generations through powerful, meaningful representation.

The Story

We’re bringing the powerful, untold story of the Montford Point Marines to life through a dynamic comic-style animated series for Black History Month 2026. Inspired by real events and real Montford Pointers, this project blends historical accuracy, gripping storytelling, and modern visual art to honor America’s first African American Marines

Your support will help us animate four compelling story arcs, amplify authentic voices, create original music and soundscapes, and continue the mission of ensuring the world knows about the Montford Point Marines. By contributing, you become part of preserving history, celebrating courage, and sharing a legacy that deserves to be seen, heard, and remembered.

This project is more than animation. It's a tribute to the first black Marines in U.S. history, men who served with honor, courage, and resilience despite facing segregation and adversity.

We will retell their story through powerful visuals, stirring narrations, and an elegant soundtrack that captures the emotion and dignity of their journey.

Our Process

Led by Creative Producer David B. White, a team of dedicated music composers, animators, and voice talent will work tirelessly to ensure every frame honors their legacy. From carefully crafted storyboards to emotionally resonant music, every detail is designed to educate, inspire, and preserve the memory of these American heroes.

Your support will help Battle Axe Media Productions fund the creative team and cover production costs. This innovative team of college interns, graphic artists, voice talent, and an industry professional music composer will contribute over 400 hours of combined creative skill to create this production. That is a current market value of $90,000.00 for the labor on this production.

By contributing, you're not just backing a media project. You're helping history speak louder. You're helping ensure the world knows about the Montford Point Marines.
